이 때문에 업계는 인증제 도입보다 국산 김치 생산 업체에 대한 지원을 강화하는 것이 실질적인 도움을 줄 것이라는 입장이다. 이하연 대한민국김치협회 회장은 “생산업체는 원재료를 저렴하게 사서 저장할 수 있는 능력이 있어야 수익성을 키울 수 있다”며 “저장시설을 마련하기 어려운 영세 업체에 저장시설을 운영할 수 있도록 지원해야 한다”고 말했다.
